Description
The Yanmar 127610-42270 is a genuine OEM raw water pump impeller for Yanmar 4LH, 4LHA, 6BY and 6BY3 series marine diesel engines.
Why it matters
The raw water impeller is the most common cause of an overheating alarm on a marine diesel, and it is a wear part by design.
Supersession
This part replaces the earlier 127610-42200, 127610-42200-01. If your manual or a previous invoice lists either of those, this is the current replacement.
Fitting
Never run the engine with the seacock shut, even briefly, or you will damage the impeller. This impeller uses cover O-ring 24341-000700, worth renewing at the same time.
